Our fields of research include Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) and Spectroscopy (MRS) as well as Magnetic Particle Imaging (MPI) and Rotational Drift Spectroscopy (RDS). Projects at our lab focus on the development of new techniques and instrumentation as well as applications on biological systems, ranging from single cells to plants, animals and humans. As a spin off, the research center MRB is joining our efforts.
Nano-Optics and Bio-Photonics is another main area of reseach at our department. Our mission is to obtain fundamental control over light-matter interaction by controling the flow of light at the nanometer scale down to the size of single atoms, molecules, and quantum dots.
